Doing my best to uphold all national & international standards of privacy so bear with me. First off, I completely respect your privacy. I personally retain no personal information obtained through this website beyond saving complimentary emails sent to me through the contact page on this site. I may occasionally share part of those emails in the form of positive reviews on social media or under the Reviews tab on this website, but never the contact information of those who sent it. What personal data we collect and why we collect it
At the moment, only a name (because I like to know who I'm hearing from so I can remember you!) and an email address is required to sign up for my newsletter or to contact through this site.

Newsletter
When you sign up for my newsletter, I use your email address for only two purposes:

Informational: “Guess what? I wrote a new book! Yay!”

Marketing purposes: “Want to buy it? It’s really good…”
I will not sell or share your info with anybody else. But here's where I start losing a little control of what happens. Please be aware that signing up for my newsletter means that you agree to this: You’re like, “Okay, send me the newsletter. I might not buy your book but I’ll think about it. Thanks for letting me know.”
If you ever decide you don’t want to hear from me, there’s an unsubscribe button at the bottom of every email. Just click it & you’ll never hear from me again. Or reach out to me at fortin.angeline@gmail.com & I’ll remove you personally. My newsletter is powered by MadMimi, here’s their terms & privacy policy.

Contact Forms
The same goes with my contact form. I don’t add your email to my contact list but I don't specifically delete the email addresses of people who contact me, so be aware that if you do contact me, you’re giving me permission to have your email address & possibly even to write you back which I try to do every time. As I mentioned above, I often save emails that I find touching or complimentary and may share them in part or as a whole through social media or on this site but I will never include your contact information when doing so.
If you want me to delete it & forget we ever emailed, you’ll need to tell me so specifically.
The contact form does not automatically collect or store any personal information, & Wix by default doesn’t do this. [You can see their Privacy Policy here]

Analytics & Cookies
I don’t share your data with anybody for any reason, but I do provide you with handy links to my books at the web retailers listed below. Click the links to see their privacy policies, because if you click my buy links, you’re going to those websites & you might want to know how things are handled over there.
Also, I am aware that you can download my books and many others at pirate sites. In turn, I ask you to be aware that if anything goes awry for you there, I can't help you.
As I currently do not use a comment form, this one's easy - you shouldn't have a problem. I currently do not allow comments to be posted directly on you leave a comment on this site for your protection. I ever add it, I'll let you know beforehand what it asks for and collects which is basically this: If you were to leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. Also, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. It collects the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string. These are for your convenience if it bugs you to have to start from scratch & fill in your details again whenever you want to leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Like sometimes I might show you a hilarious cat video, or my favorite compilation of .gifs. You should be aware that embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way here as it would if you went to that other website directly.
And those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
So user beware.
